Do we have LinuxMint users here? I know lots of you are on Ubuntu... After beating my head against this for quite a while, I now have daily builds in our PPA (ppa:subsurface/subsurface-daily) that should work the way /I/ think they should work¹. And I'm planning to make "official" packages like this available once 4.3 is out in pps:subsurface/subsurface.
I'd really appreciate if people could test these and make sure there aren't any more gotchas hidden in some corners. On Ubuntu I still sometimes have issues with the shortcut keys not working. But Miika says this works fine now for him. On LinuxMint I have no such problems. I have only tested these in VMs, I haven't tried downloading from dive computers, I haven't excercised a lot of the features. Thanks /D ¹these packages no longer depend on getting the three "challenging" dependencies (libmarble, libgit2, libdivecomputer) from the OS. They include our own libssrfmarble.so that is hacked quite a bit to strip away all the overhead that we don't use, and the Subsurface binary inside is statically linked against libgit2 (plus dependencies) and the Subsurface-testing branch of libdivecomputer. _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.subsurface-divelog.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
