I know David Miller normally sends all Networking fixes for stable
together in one go, as mbox files. However, may I suggest including
these two patches by Mathias Krause just in 3.7.10 for now, as an
exceptional case?
Trying to bypass me like this absolutely drives me nuts, and not even
CC:'ing me explicitly makes this even more infuriating.
I did NOT try and bypass you, I explicitly included you in the CC,
please check the mail header again.
Those two commits aren't in Linus's damn tree yet, he hasn't
even taken them into his tree yet, so please be patient.
I know everyone has bees in their damn pants over those two patches,
but just let the normal -stable submissions procedure play itself out.
I would be the first person to advocate sticking to the rules, I believe
strongly that they are important. Like I said I would almost never
suggest making a special case for a patch, except under exceptional
circumstances. Always sticking to rules at *all* costs with no
exceptions seems silly to me.
Do whatever you guys want, makes no difference to me, I can apply the
patch to my own boxes.
