this is my first post here. so please go easy on my nettiqette.
I've set up a mail server on ubuntu 7.04 according to instructions at
http://johnny.chadda.se/2007/04/15/mail-server-howto-postfix-and-dovecot-with-mysql-and-tlsssl-postgrey-and-dspam/
I am able to login via squirrelmail, /var/log/syslog shows:
Oct 8 13:26:23 blackbox dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
method=PLAIN, rip=59.95.4.220, lip=192.168.1.254, TLS
Oct 8 13:26:23 blackbox dovecot: IMAP([EMAIL PROTECTED]): Disconnected: Logged
out
On sending mail - squirrel mail complains: ERROR:
Server replied: 0 Can't open SMTP stream.
/var/log/syslog shows:
Oct 8 13:30:35 blackbox postfix/smtpd[10538]: connect from unknown[59.95.4.220]
Oct 8 13:30:35 blackbox postfix/smtpd[10538]: lost connection after UNKNOWN
from unknown[59.95.4.220]
Oct 8 13:30:35 blackbox postfix/smtpd[10538]: disconnect from
unknown[59.95.4.220]
I am able to send and receive using evolution with out any problem.
using ubuntu7.04, postfix 2.3.8-2, dovecot 1.0.rc17-1ubuntu2.1, squirrelmail
2:1.4.9a-1ubuntu0.1
