Hello squirrelmail-users,
I am trying to determine if something is possible before trying it
(although I'll probably just try it and see what happens).
My wife's company blocks personal webmail (gmail, yahoo!, hotmail,
etc.), but does not have a policy against using personal web mail.
In the past I have used a webmail system on my personal hosting
service to allow her to access the POP3 mail on her personal hosting
service. Recently the webmail that i was using (not squirrelmail)
died and I prefer to replace it rather than dive into the code on the
old version. Since my hosting company will support Squirrelmail, I
was hoping to use it. The only concern I have is that the default
url for the inbox is represented as "example.com/src/webmail.php" In
order not to draw the attention of the random url scanning system, I
was hoping to change the url to something less "interesting," such as
"action.php". I started to comb through the source, but was wondering
if anyone on the list knew if this would be possible (or impossible)
and if so, had some pointers on the best way to do it (or warnings
not to waste my time).
My setup:
Squirrelmail 1.4.6-rc1
PHP 4.4.1
Apache 1.3.34
IMAP (don't remember version right now)
mail_fetch plugin
Thanks!
Allan
