Show your SMTP/sendmail configuration for SM. If possible, try using

Paul,

I sent a post earlier that you may haven't read as yet.  It said;

"/usr/sbin/sendmail on the FreeBSD box is a link to /usr/sbin/mailwrapper and I suspect this is broken. (/usr/sbin/sendmail on the MDK boxes is a link to /etc/alternatives/mta* and this works fine).

Changed &sendmail_path
to
= '/usr/local/sbin/sendmail';
and NO more problems sending from the compose page."

I did a fresh install of FreeBSD 6.0 / Postfix 2.1.5 (NOT 2.2.5 as earlier) / Squirrelmail 1.4.5 and had no problems except that I still needed to change the $sendmail_path as above.

Although I have been running Mandrake / Postfix / Squirrelmail for 4 years I am a complete neophyte with FreeBSD. Looks like [with this OS / MTA] it needs the correct path to function.

Thanks,

Jon
