I think you missed database username and password information in your
configuration.

Set your email information in Options -> Personal Information.
SquirrelMail does not have information about your mail system layout. It
knows only username used to log into interface and domain that is set in
SquirrelMail configuration. See retrieveuserdata and askuserinfo plugins.
