With 1.4.6RC1 it is much much faster, but still much much slower than
with php4/apache2. Do you think PHP5 is sux?

Could it be a volume of mail problem? I've got an Apache2/PHP4
(4.3.9)/Courier setup and I've noticed performance degrade as the volume
of mail increases.
