configtest.php does not need authentication data. It only tries to open
smtp connection. Even if script contains authentication options, it won't
be able to use them, because it will have to open smtp connection first.

SquirrelMail tries to use same username and password as the one that is
used in imap connection. Site wide password configuration options are
available only in 1.5.1cvs config_local.php overrides. Check 1.5.1cvs
doc/authentication.txt
