New to the list and Squirrelmail. Have been running 1.4.4 for about a week. Have had the same problem occur twice since then and wanted to ask if anyone else had had this problem.
I've had two different users at two different times logged in to Squirrelmail trying to delete a message when the system locked up on them. The message was selected and the DELETE button pressed. The entire Linux box froze and had to be rebooted each time. After the reboot, the user was able to go back in to squirrelmail, (message was still there) and delete the message with no problem. I'm not sure about the first user but the second was trying to delete a message with an attachment.
Probably not much we'll be able to do to help; might even be an IMAP error or just a REALLY borked PHP/Apache installation.
The only activity I could find in the logs at each of these times were the users logged into Squirrelmail

Running:
Fedora Core 2 Squirrelmail 1.4.4 Apache 2.0 PHP 4.3.8 48 plugins
list them. deactivate them and see if problem still happens. did you check apache logs for errors?
Firefox was the browser on both occurances
