First off, this appears to be a problem that others have experienced before:

But no solutions posted in any threads I found besides "check the SM requirements".
Just a FYI, I've upgraded to PHP 4.3.11 released today and now I can open attachments again without getting any blank screens...
thanks for keeping us updated and following up on this thread. seems as usual, PHP releases have varied in quality and functionality. glad to hear it's fixed, frustrated to hear one more reason not to trust PHP....
