i just have a doubt why my squirrelmail webmail/data
folder is filling with unrequired data.

I feel that the databook will have user preferences
and address books as well as global address book.

Other than these files i am able to find some files
with irregular names wchich contains some junk data.

What do with these files.

Please be aware that there is no such thing as a "databook" in this context. The word you should use is "directory". Those strange files are attachment files and are in that directory because you have not specified a separate location for the attachments directory in your SquirrelMail configuration. If you do that (you should), those files will stop polluting the data directory. You should also set up a cron job that periodically cleans out your attachments directory.
