Anyone have any idea why "javascript_on=1" will be set to "javascript_on=0" whenever a users accesses the mailbox (using both IE6 SP1 and Mozilla Firefox 1.0). Even using forced pref plugin, that setting will be forced to use value 0 also.

The login page and the display preferences page both have an auto-detection script that attempts to determine if the browser has javascript support turned on. Make sure the browser does have such support and that it's turned on. Also, you can manually set this value by going to Options->Display Preferences->Use Javascript
