SquirrelMail -> Options -> Index Order

Size option is available in 1.2.6 and in 1.4.3a.

In order to add it to every new user, you need to add following values in
default preferences:
-----
order1=1
order2=2
order3=3
order4=5
order5=4
order6=6
-----

In order to add it to existing user settings, you have to edit every
preference file, insert appropriate entries in database or use
forced_prefs plugin.

Sorting by size is available in 1.5.1cvs.

You should be able to install squirrelmail package from testing or
unstable into debian stable. Last time I've checked, they don't use any
php functions that are present only in Sid or Sarge php.
