I realize that this may be hard to extract from the user, but what was the
error message?  As a guess, its taking too long to scan the inbox file
(Red Had defaults to one file per mailbox I believe).  If this is the
case, then you need to go into the PHP configuration file and increase the
time a php task can run before its timed out (Other option is the get a
faster processor) In debian its /etc/php4/apache/php.ini  but it may be
somewhere else on Red Hat..
Look for max_execution_time
If the error says out of memory then look for memory_limit
Increase as needed..
