Squirrelmail itself does not support the quota extension; however there are some plugins that can display the quota usage and present the user with warnings. Look at the Squirrelmail plugins site. There is also a patch around that disables 'move_to_trash', if quota error has been encountered. Search squirrelmail-devel archives for 'delete when overquota'.
