Hi all,

This was part of another message I sent out. It was suggested to me I
start a new thread on it, so I'm doing just that. Here's what I mentioned
in another email...

....
In another thread associated with this, I found the latest addressbook
import/export plugin is busted. I imported a CSV address book
and during the import it showed the fields as I wanted, but
once it imported it into the username.abook file, it nuked my
nickname field and replaced it with the email address. So,
instead of the file being:

Nickname|First|Last|Emailaddress|Note

it was

Emailaddress|First|Last|Emailaddress|Note

An annoyance, but not fatal. I wrote a script on my server and
ran this busted .abook file through it and recreated the abook
file the way I want it (the nicknames for me was just the
person's whole name).

But even though I did this, the fact remains that the import/export
isn't doing the right thing.

I also had the script flip first and last
so the sorting worked the way I wanted. The addressbook sorts by
first name and I want it searched by last name so I just flipflopped
those fields in my .abook file. So now my .abook file has the
information in this order:

Nickname|Last|First|Emailaddress|Note

Even though the fields that I see within SM are backwars, at least the
addressbook sorts how I want it.

Thanks all,

-Gary
