Anyone on the devel list have comments? Is it time to give up on PHP4.0.x?

Not sure what the exact problem is, but I'd suspect php4.0.6 is stretching
it. php4.1.x is a better bet. Marc might be able to help more, since
that is his code; I haven't the time to dive into it at the moment.

Recently, someone changed the wiki to state that PHP4.1.2 is our minimum
requirement, although last I remember, we actually made changes in the
code to retain PHP4.0.6 compatibility (a few months ago). The INSTALL
file still says 4.0.6.

If you can manage a php upgrade and it works, we'll either have to track
down the problem or change SM requirements.

Not likely. It'll probably make things work better.
