SM doesn't care about file locations. It just needs an avenue to communicate with your IMAP server, and the IMAP server takes care of the rest. SM needs, of course, to be in your htdocs tree and has a data and attachment directory of its own, but otherwise, there is no relationship between SM and your other applications and files.
