First the specifics of the server Red Hat Linux release 7.3 (Valhalla) imap-2001a-10 (uw) apache-1.3.27-2 php-4.1.2-7 squirrelmail-1.4.1
I just installed squirrelmail 1.4.1, and it seems to be working correctly, I can send mail with attachments, etc. There's only one problem. When I'm reading my mail, I can't switch to any other folders. I can only see my Inbox. When I click on "Sent" or "Trash," The page reloads, but it's still the same page I was looking at before I clicked on the link.
This is w/o adding the following lines from the INSTALL document to my httpd.conf file
AddType application/php4script .php Action application/php4script /cgi-bin/php
When I add these lines to httpd.conf, I get the following error in my web browser when I try to view ANY squirrelmail page page:
Warning: Unexpected character in input: '' (ASCII=4) state=1 in /var/www/pdb-mail/squirrelmail-1.4.1/cgi-bin/php on line 6081

Parse error: parse error in /var/www/pdb-mail/squirrelmail-1.4.1/cgi-bin/php on line 6084
Any ideas? Please help - I need to have this up and running by the end of this week!
