The symptoms are - the SquirrelSpell window pops up, but just sits there with "Communicating with the Server" message that never goes away. I imagine the problem is "Links Buttons" is actually not a true "plug-in", but a patch, requiring you to replace the standard /functions/page_header.php file with it's own version.
