Hi, I'm in the middle of attempting to get Squirrelmail 1.4.0 working and I'm running into a bizarre problem on both my test server and my production server.
Everything seems to work just fine right up until you go to compose and send a message. After the send button is hit, it sits for a bit, then pops up with the following message: ERROR : Bad or malformed request. Server responded: Received: BAD Error in IMAP command FROM: Unknown command. However, the message _Has_ been sent and the recipient receives it normally. Both machines are FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE running Apache 1.3.27 with mod_php 4.3.3r1, with sendmail as the MTA and dovecot 0.99.10 as the imap daemon. (I'm only using dovecot because I have hashed user spool directories for mboxes, i.e. /var/mail/j/o/joeuser and it was the only imapd that supported mbox that I was able to add that functionality to). However, just to eliminate the imap daemon as the problem, I installed imap-uw on the test server and get the same problem. I did some more testing and managed to track down where exactly the problem was occuring. I've got the option to use a sent items folder set to false, however, if I set it to true the message goes out normally without error. It looks to me like even though it shouldn't be, it's still trying to move it to a sent items folder. I want that behavior disabled... there should be no drafts, trash, or sent items folder. Here's my folder defaults options: 1. Default Folder Prefix : 2. Show Folder Prefix Option : false 3. Trash Folder : 4. Sent Folder : 5. Drafts Folder : 6. By default, move to trash : false 7. By default, move to sent : false 8. By default, save as draft : false 9. List Special Folders First : true 10. Show Special Folders Color : true 11. Auto Expunge : true 12. Default Sub. of INBOX : true 13. Show 'Contain Sub.' Option : false 14. Default Unseen Notify : 2 15. Default Unseen Type : 1 16. Auto Create Special Folders : false 17. Folder Delete Bypasses Trash : true 18. Enable /NoSelect folder fix : false Anybody have any ideas what I can do to fix it? I've been googling around and browsing the mailing list archives but haven't found anything yet.
