Really, its instances like this that make me want to write a web-based
firsttime only install script.  It would come in handy setting up the
databases, mail server (with testing), ect... for ppl without shell
access.  What I generally do for ppl now is just modify the
administrative plugin so they don't have to be logged in, once they are
done configuring for the first time, then reupload it to the original.

Well if anyone wants to take on the install script, go right ahead,
otherwise I'll put it on my long list of things to do.
