What is the operating system on the server?  Do the users have quotas?
If it's a unix type box, try:

  df -h

That'll tell you the usage, and how much you have left. If you're
running quotas, you might want to check and make sure that none of the
users haven't exceeded the space. The message you're seeing is an IMAP
message, and not SquirrelMail.
