Hi Jon-

Thanks for the info.

I changed error_reporting to E_ALL. display_errors to
On. The only message I'm getting is still:

"Preference database error (no such database). Exiting
abnormally."

Any other ideas? I took a look through the php source
files (I am not a PHP developer) to try and see if
there was anything obvious that jumped out at me, but
it looked like the DSN info was where it needed to be.
Could the order in which certain modules are loaded be
a factor (maybe a module that needs the DSN defined
loading before a module that defines it?)

On the SquirrelMail requirements page it says that
there have been "issues" with PHP 4.3.0 and earlier
versions of Squirrelmail, but that these have been
resolved in Squirrelmail 1.4. Can you offer any
additional information on these past issues that might
be useful for troubleshooting?

Also, you indicated that you aren't completely
comfortable with the 4.3 branch of PHP - would you
recommend not using PHP 4.3 in production with
Squirrelmail?

Thanks.
