Well, this is a rather weird issue and i am not sure how to go about
debugging this. I thought to mail the list as this is my first real
problem with running squirrelmail, and i do not actually know how to go
about trying to fix it.

So the problem is that I have several of my users complain about
messages not showing up in their INBOX under SquirrelMail. When users
access their mailbox via any other IMAP client (netscape, outlook,
pine), the messages exist. I have confirmed this with both netscape and
pine. I also confirmed that the message is in the users's Maildir
folder and the message is formatted correctly.

The first thing i attempted to do is delete the file and re-inject the
file into the mailbox (using qmail). This does not seem to remedy
anything. The message shows up in the users Maildir but not in the
listing. Next i tried to install the latest version of SM and it does
not seem to fix the problem (v.1.2.11).

What i would like to know, (asside how to fix this), what is the best
way to go about debugging this problem. I am sure it has something to
do with either the communication between SM and the IMAP server OR how
SM parses the message. Is there some debug log that i can look at?

I am currently running:
SquirrelMail Version 1.2.8

running on:
RedHat 7.1 on x86
Apache/1.3.14
PHP Version 4.0.4pl1
qmail-1.03
courier-imap-1.3.12

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-Nick
