What do y'all mean by "doesn't work"? Please turn on "display_errors" and set your error level to "E_ALL" in php.ini and tell us if you see any specific errors. Most plugins *do* work out of the box -- as most SM users out there can attest to, but there are so many different ways (and different versions) to install and configure a web server and php (and the OS) that it is not surprising that someone is going to have problems. Also, some of the plugins are not yet ready to be used with register_globals=Off or with SM version 1.4 (depends on the plugin)...
Please post more details and I'm sure we can sort it all out. - paul > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, March 07, 2003 3:45 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [SM-USERS] question on plugins > > Maybe it's just you? > But I've had horrible luck getting most of hte plugins to work as well. > Same issues as you.... > The logo displays a logo but never with their name. > The auto-login doesn't auto-log the user in. > Fetchmail doesn't work.. yet on the mailling lists people tell me it just > works out of the box??? > Yeah... same here most of the plugins don't work for me either... > > > I found out it was the "weather" plugin that kept my upgrade from > > working.
