Hello,
I'm a long time user of SM and just upgraded my server, introducing a problem
that has me completely stumped. I can navigate to the /src/login.php and everything
appears fine. Once I enter a username and password: Opera complains that the
Connection was closed by remote server, IE gives the generic "Page cannot be
displayed". I look in my sessions.save_path and there is a sess_* file, and of note
it is empty. (Is this normal?). My Apache Error log has:

[Tue Feb 18 03:00:20 2003] [notice] child pid 30900 exit signal Illegal instruction (4)
[Tue Feb 18 03:00:21 2003] [notice] child pid 30902 exit signal Illegal instruction (4)

And I always get two of them per attempt to log in.

From the FAQ I have updated my DNS setting (I do connect from a Win2K client),
and have modified the sessions.auto_start variable in my php.ini. I get the same
error if register_globals is on or off.
        Some details:
                kernel 2.4.19
                php 4.3.0 - <?php phpinfo(); ?> works
courier IMAP 1.7.0 - tested with telnet localhost 143 and LOGIN
                apache 2.0.44
                squirrelmail 1.2.11

Any insight will be welcome. Or if you can help me get more debug information
that would be nice too...

Thanks for your time,
-Wes
