1.2.9 is actually the stable version. The 1.3 series is the
development versions.

  I've posted this up onto the devel list too so they can see the
  issue, and hopefully fix it.

  He does do it correctly, the stable version is slightly
  non-compliant in that it requires the results back in the order they
  were requested, which is not a requirement of the RFCs. As for why
  devel is putting extra mess in their, I am not sure... we'll look
  into it :)
