Nice document.  As for virtual domains and squirrelmail, it does not
apply, however, since to use more than one virtual domain as the
original author of this thread wanted to do, you have to use the Virtual
Host Login plugin.  

You should consider releasing the change password plugin you modified
for your setup - or make it a configurable option in one of the
preexisting plugins!

Also, completely off-topic, but I see you run imapd-ssl and imapd.  I do
as well and recently tried to do the same thing with pop3d and
pop3d-ssl.  And it failed horribly.  Getting imap to work was a snap,
and I did the same things, set the same parameters for pop, but
everything on port 110 is encrypted no matter what I do...  no one on
the courier mailing list was able to help (!!), so I'm just curious if
you have any idea....
