I thought that too, so I tried "link -dump http://www.amazon.com";, to see if it differs from 4PM to around midnight. And it does, but not that much: Around 4PM, it stays 0.02s, and around midnight it goes to 0.08s-0.1s....squid's "squidclient" program goes to 4s...so something is up with squid. Thanks!
