That sounds like an OS problem. Possibly failure to finish writing the in-memory disk cache out to the actual disk, or some sort of filesystem corruption that the power failure triggered. Squid's operating software doesn't include anything which could remove its own binary. What OS was this running on? -- -george william herbert [email protected]
