Forwarding loops usually happen (1) when you are using a parent cache, or (2) when you are using HTTP interception (aka transparent caching). So I will try my question again: Are you using HTTP interception? If so, you probably need to configure your switch/router so that it does not re-intercept HTTP connections coming from Squid.
