I'm using Fedora Core 1, with Squid 2.5-STABLE3 (which it comes with). I got basic and ntlm (via samba 3) auth working with squid, but it doesn't recognize digest authentication. I tried downloading the source for STABLE4, recompiling with the same configure flags plus digest in enable-auth, and password in enable-digest-auth-helpers ... compilation gets no errors, but when I start it via service, it says failed. I tried using the STABLE3 sources also.
Using the exact same flags as it came with turns out alright, so I think the problem is with the configuration flags I'm using: --host=i386-redhat-linux --build=i386-redhat-linux --target=i386-redhat-linux-gn u --program-prefix= --prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --bindir=/usr/bin --sbindir =/usr/sbin --sysconfdir=/etc --datadir=/usr/share --includedir=/usr/include --li bdir=/usr/lib --libexecdir=/usr/libexec --localstatedir=/var --sharedstatedir=/u sr/com --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --exec_prefix=/usr --bi ndir=/usr/sbin --libexecdir=/usr/lib/squid --localstatedir=/var --sysconfdir=/et c/squid --enable-poll --enable-snmp --enable-removal-policies=heap,lru --enable- storeio=aufs,coss,diskd,null,ufs --enable-ssl --with-openssl=/usr/kerberos --ena ble-delay-pools --enable-linux-netfilter --with-pthreads --enable-basic-auth-hel pers=LDAP,NCSA,PAM,SMB,SASL,MSNT --enable-digest-auth-helpers=password --enable- ntlm-auth-helpers=SMB,winbind --enable-external-acl-helpers=ip_user,ldap_group,u nix_group,wbinfo_group,winbind_group --enable-auth=basic,digest,ntlm --with-winb ind-auth-challenge --enable-useragent-log --enable-referer-log Does anyone know what I did wrong here?
