From what your saying, i guess u have to re-write squid itself!
on the other hand, am having a similar problem but for a different purpose I want to filter http traffic, and I have been pointed to the possibilty of using ICAP server and client, as you noted, squid passess the request, but this time, in my case, thru ICAP which communicates with spamassassin to filter SPAM mails before the leave my network.
and write now, am pouring thru squid code to understand how to get it, ICAP and spamassassin to communicate, talk about hair pulling!
thats it!

Hi ,
I want to use squid as a http filter . I mean when a http request received by the squid , squid redirect it to a filter program like squidgaurd and if the squidgaurd accepted the request then the request passed to another router without changing anythings of the request like source ip address and ... . And if the request is rejected by squidgaurd then squid drop the request . Is this possible by squid or not ?!
