I am having some strange issue with solr that I found nowhere on the web. I was looking for partial matches for some fields in solr. I know of the "*" wildcard which can be used for the same. Now I want to search in some field with value say "Some value". Now the problem is:
When I do: field:val* it detects "Some value" as a match But when I do: field:"val*" it shows up nothing. What I want here is if I query for "Some va" I should get "Some value" in results.
