There was a bug for backwards compatibility problems in recent SolrJ. https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-5762 That bug is resolved as of 4.7, but recently it has come to our attention that the problem is not entirely fixed, and appears to be a bigger issue than we thought. I don't recall seeing a new bug filed yet. I don't fully understand the latest problems, or I would have already filed a new bug. Thanks, Shawn
