Hello. We are planning to offer search as an embedded functionality into mobile/low-power devices.
The main requirement are: - ability to index and search documents available on the mobile device, - no need of internet access, - lightweight, low footprint and fast We are looking into various options. As I understand it, Solr would be way too heavy for mobile devices. Has anyone used Lucene/Solr for off-line search on mobile devices? Are there better alternatives for off-line full-text search?
