What is the right fieldType for this kind of field?

Dear,

Data look likes:
<str>A23L1/22066</str>
 <str>A23L1/227</str>
 <str>A23L1/231</str>
 <str>A23L1/2375</str>

I tried:
- String
but I can't search with troncation (i.e. A23*)

- Text_General
but as my code contains / then data are splitted...

What kind of field must choose to use truncation and consider code with 
/ as one term?
