Consider running Apache ManifoldCF local to the database and then remote to
Solr.
Or, export from the database to a local CSV file and then carry that over
the firewall and import into Solr.

It has been found that DIH might not suitable to index existing data from DB
due to security reasons as like the security people WILL NOT “just open the
database for the IP address of the Solr indexer. Is it true, what is
preferable.
Please let me know on this.
