Hi, do you have any advice on operating a Solr 4.0 read-only instance with regards to the underlying JVM?
In particular I'm wondering about stability and memory usage, but anything else you might add is welcome, when it comes to OpenJDK vs Sun/Oracle Hotspot, v6 vs v7. What are you running, what would you suggest and why? I tried searching for some information, and the old(?) "run-on-sun-java6-jre" tip is all I get back. This morning I also read that Oracle JDK v7 is apparently based on OpenJDK sources... so? Thanks, -- Cosimo
