yeah I realize using ${solr.core.name} for dataDir must be the cause for the
issue we see... it is fair to say the SWAP and RENAME just create an alias
that still points to the old datadir.if they can not fix it then it is not a bug :-) at least we understand exactly what is going on there. thanks so much for your help!
