I am looking at the Solr WIKI and some of the examples seem to contradict earlier explanations ( https://wiki.apache.org/solr/UpdateJSON#Update_Commands ):
curl http://localhost:8983/solr/update -H 'Content-type:application/json' -d ' { "id" : "TestDoc1", "title" : {"set":"test1"}, "revision" : {"inc":3}, "publisher" : {"add":"TestPublisher"} }' I thought there were only two forms: [{...},{...}] and {add:{...}, ..}. This one seems to be neither one or another but just a single object directly. I did a quick test with my example and it seemed to fail with [] but passing with []. Can somebody else confirm whether the WIKI just missed brackets (I can fix that) or whether I am missing a syntax option. Regards, Alex.
