one caveat to keep in mind is that the results will most likely be biased in favor of people actively participating in the broader community (ie: on the mailing list, or following people realted to solr on blogs/twitter, or subscribed to solr twitter search feeds, etc...). The number of folks using Solr 1.x who even know about the survey (let alone participate) will probably be much lower then the number of who are in a "use it and don't think about it" situation. -Hoss
