There are a lot of sub-tasks having to do with lots of cores here: http://wiki.apache.org/solr/LotsOfCores I don't see a reference to this particular issue, but it sure seems like this could be a reasonable thing to add to the list. By extension, all of the files that can be specified (stopwords, query elevation, to name two) could reasonably be shared..
