Thanks, Jan. For now, I would go for the quick solution and just have something that removes and|or before sending the query to Solr.
The issue in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-3086 SOLR-3086 is not what I need. I don't want to totally disable boolean operators, just limit them to the uppercase AND|OR for more savvy users. That's the reason why I thought the lowercaseOperators parameter was the way to go as discussed in http://lucidworks.lucidimagination.com/display/solr/The+Extended+DisMax+Query+Parser http://lucidworks.lucidimagination.com/display/solr/The+Extended+DisMax+Query+Parser regards, Joel -- View this message in context: http://lucene.472066.n3.nabble.com/Edismax-lowercaseOperators-false-does-not-ignore-lowercase-and-tp3973669p3975779.html Sent from the Solr - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
