Extended Dismax QueryParser

I ran into an issue with the extended dismax query parser and multiple
trailing operators, I noticed that there is a fix for this for the
dismax query parser (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-874)
which I've manually used to patch my system, is there any change of
getting this done for edismax as well?
