If I were to build a master with multiple slaves, is it possible to promote a slave to be the new master if the original master fails? Will all the slaves pickup right where they left off, or any time the master fails will we need to completely regenerate all the data?
If this is possible, are there any examples of this being automated? Especially on Win2k3.
