Nope can't do, you can keep the counter at application end and update the time-stamp of documents which have been searched then update/index the document with counter or assign the boost to document being updated.
if keeping counter then by using function query you can influence the score of hire/lower count .I have used this approach for a property portal to get up the least contacted properties.
