Thanks Jonathan. We thought this through and have done quite a bit of digging on this and saw there was no easy way around this. It was our last attempt to post to the forum and see if there was some killer feature we were missing somehow
We thought of the concatenated fields route, but quickly gave up on it as things in my opinion quickly get messy there. We have a lot more fields than I listed, so we could end up with a big unmanagable mess. So far, I seem to favor multiple queries and though things can also be tricky there, I think it gets us closer to where we want to be. SOLR2272 looks great! Please merge!!!! +1 for that. Why so much fuss over something so valuable? I haven't read it in it's entirety, but I'll do so once I am done writing this. Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated. One more question, we also intend to provide near realtime search and we have about 1M documents, can Solr handle commits say every 10 secs? In every single commit, we will be re-indexing no more than a 1000 documents at once. If not, is there a threshold we can't go under? Say 30 secs? -- View this message in context: http://lucene.472066.n3.nabble.com/Search-across-related-correlated-multivalue-fields-in-Solr-tp2871176p2871361.html Sent from the Solr - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
