Grant, One feature that I would like to see is the ability to do a Bitwise search
I have had to work around this with a Query Parser plugin that uses a org.apache.lucene.search.Filter I think having this feature would be very nice and I prefer it to searching with multiple OR type queries especially when the bit are known ahead of time. I can submit the code as a patch once I get the approval to do so.
